Feedback ABSR 2023

In 2023, more than 400 participants completed a scientifically evaluated ABSR course in various languages. Here is the feedback they sent us.

What would you say to other people about why it is worth taking an ABSR course?

At the moment I don't know, because I haven't done the whole course yet.
The experience however of the first practice (hiding something at an other place you used to) was very good.
I experienced that I came home on friday from work and would take my agenda, it wasn't in my bag.
I knew immediately where it was. At work I had seen it en subconscious had scanned the environment where it was. So at home I didn't panic of losing my Agenda, I knew for sure that is was on the closet at my work.

Finally there is easy accessible hygienic eurythmy for everyone, the movements are easy but powerful. With the help of the course there is a chance you get a good habit of doing these healing and harmonious movements every morning! I can see a difference in my students when I practice every morning, I feel more focused and my heart is open.

I have ADHD and MBSR has helped me a lot in the past. But now I am very happy that there is a similar program within the Waldorf movement. I love eurythmy and working with a group so this course was such a joy for me. I have done the homework every day and I have hopes it will become a good habit. 💛 (You may edit my comment)"

I found it very soothing and calming to participate.

I recommend this course, in my particular case, after each class I felt calmer and also when I did the repetition of the course that the teacher sent me.
The classes were very punctual, the instructions were clear, the teacher does the exercises and you follow them, so the space for doubts is very low.
The teacher that I had, in my opinion, was very empathetic and if there are questions or comments, she provides a space for them."

I would like to let others know about the course. I didn't complete it very effectively so am not sure about how I would describe it to others. It really is a different way of looking at coping with stress and the effects like memory disturbances.

I would say there is a nice atmosphere to the program. Its balanced and focused on action, but also compassionate. The exercises are effective and give you an anchor with which to be conscious of and improve your experience of being human

It is worth for you - to go deeper inside, to get the peace inside you and to be connected with the universe.

The combination of Eurythmy and practical exercises was really effective and I was introduced to several new ways of working with myself which I am carrying on now the course is finished.

The course was not only imbued with therapeutic expertise, but love.

The international connections are so healing. So affirming of the deep human soul striving of all on a spiritual path. . We need to know each other from a soul level. A great step toward bringing peace to the world.

This course helped me slow down, be more aware of how my movements effect me, my mind, soul and body.

This is a good course, ( hidden gem ), this is a high-level course, and everybody feels different due to their own level of realization.

This is a nice course, which can help slow down during a crazy week and give yourself an hour of self, which we can never find as moms. It is a possibility to keep the focus on important things even once a week.

Videos were very good and to read the tasks as well from email.

For me, it was the first time working so intensively with eurythmy exercises. It was both challenging and inspiring. I was able to develop a better sense of myself and my well-being, and I enjoyed it. The regular online live sessions were well-supported, and the additional materials gave me the freedom to work on my own. Thank you also for the very helpful personal emails and tips. I’ll gladly participate again.

For me, it felt like a gentle, warm embrace and a careful, mindful introduction to a new way of relating to myself. It helped me find a calm place within myself and gave me hope that I can learn to accept and transform certain things more kindly.

I find the course incredibly helpful for finding calm and connecting with myself and my inner world. I felt strengthened, supported, and, at times, more cheerful, as some of the exercises can also be quite fun. The combination of mind and body is very successful.

In the webinars, each part of the program is explained, and there is room for interaction. Wonderful exercises are shared, which have a deep impact. This course brings a sense of lightness. You share something with one another. Your inner space expands, stress decreases, and a new energy emerges.

For a moment each day, through eurythmy, you are entirely with yourself. The daily and weekly tasks are personality-forming and help you to either reconnect with yourself or stay connected.

My body awareness has improved. I perceive my physical sensations and the associated emotions more consciously. As a result, I now have a much more playful approach to movement. That is, I more often and more distinctly notice the needs and joys of my "dear little donkey." It feels good.

The course gave me strength and calm alongside chemotherapy, helping me preserve my vitality. I will continue with the exercises. Thank you.

Initially, I just wanted to support this activity, but I gained unexpected benefits. You must experience it yourself.

This is an action, a method to assist personal awakening. Trust and surrender are important. When you calm down and fully trust, you will be accompanied by moments of insight. Of course, making time is essential.

In an unfamiliar forest, it’s easy to lose your way. But when you trust yourself, everything can work out: it's easier to overcome failure and find the path. This course is about that!

"For me personally, it was important to have the opportunity to sincerely engage with my 'burnt-out' body and soul. Some people need to talk, others need to draw. For me, it was vital to consciously 'process' and dance through my very being right here and now, using my body in eurythmy, and to anticipate what my soul—something even greater than my soul—can still endure through the exercises entrusted to us by Dr. Rudolf Steiner.

It was very meaningful to spend the whole week doing something wonderful with other people on this planet and then to carry this practice into the following weekdays, assigning it to specific days of the week.
The exercise itself turned out to be less significant than the act of pulling myself out of the depths of my not-so-happy future to consciously place myself in the middle of the room, the kitchen, or the hallway—wherever I could—almost regularly.
It was harder with the exercises for the soul. However, even this untamed soul of mine was gradually illuminated by these tasks. In other words, rhythm, the adherence to rhythm, was important. To uphold it for the sake of such noble tasks was joyful. For these tasks, I am deeply grateful!

Reality cannot be escaped. It is grim and demands all attention.
But it was important to remember that it is neither the only reality nor an eternal one. There were moments when I distinctly felt that this movement—it is the whole truth about me, about the world, and its true, enduring essence. These were my most honest interactions with myself.
For this, I am immensely grateful!

Stories and the opportunity to draw, even if only a little, are a very special intensity for me.
I was fortunate to have taken two ABSR courses before. These courses, in and of themselves, were wonderful and richly fulfilling.
Perhaps that’s why I also found myself drawing something alongside the exercises. Yet, some incompleteness remained.

It’s clear to me that until I allow myself a drawing course as a standalone experience, the fairy tale always becomes, for me, a path of courage to drawing.

The fairy tale and the ABSR course—so far, I don’t see them as interconnected. Personally, I need distance and time to perceive them as such.
I am not immersed in the material, nor am I competent enough in either field.
I understand that some people immediately want to draw what they practice in the exercises. I rejoice for them. But it’s quite possible that this daring can come only after experiencing visions through the fairy tale.

And yet, the Word—the Word in the fairy tale—becomes so sacred to me that 'words cannot describe it.' Perhaps it’s not without reason that eurythmy is considered visible speech?
As I write this now, I recall an idea from a colleague in Zaporizhzhia. She is still striving to create and share the experience of the seven ABSR planets through fairy tales...
Hmm. I wonder where this might lead me?"

This is a journey to oneself, to understanding one's essence, depth, sense of self, perception of the world, and worldview.

After the exercises, I was able to stop the wheel of my aggressive state and not let it spin any further, I became calmer, and I observed the sensations in my body.
